Dozens of stalls enliven the city center and lakefront with their colors and scents, creating a very atmospheric effect. IN CAMPELLO MONTI FOR THE STRA' VEGIA AND THE ORRIDO DI SAN GIULIO (VALLE STRONA)

The "Strà Vegia" (old road) is theold mule track that reached as far as Campello Monti at the far end of the Strona Valley, before the construction of the carriage road. Men and women traveled along the Strà Vegia carrying their produce in panniers to Omegna to sell at the market. The section of the Strà Vegia that leads from Forno to Campello Monti is a very interesting hike: before reaching the charming Walser village of Campello, you can admire the deep Orrido di San Giulio gorge from the suspended footbridge over the Strona River. At village festivals, it is traditional to wear traditional Walser costume: the glimpse given by the colors and the charm of the re-enactment of ancient customs always leaves visitors admiring.

Alpe Mastrolino is a paradise for young and old alike, which is reached by a walk of about 40 minutes along the Gnome Trail. Upon reaching the destination, there is a well-maintained pasture where the "Mastrolino Gnomes" and their adorable animals always welcome visitors with joy. The beautiful playground and picnic area do the rest.
Along the way, just before reaching Alpe Mastrolino, a stop at the giant bench, from which there is a spectacular view encompassing Omegna and Lake Orta, is a must.

MOTTARONE - OMEGNA
Mottarone is the mountain that divides Lake Maggiore from Lake Orta. The summit can be reached by car from both Omegna and Stresa by taking the toll road known as the 'Borromea', while a dense network of paths immersed in nature allows hikers to climb to the summit.
A destination for predominantly day tourism, Mottarone offers the opportunity to enjoy numerous sports or recreational activities, and is the focal point for paragliding enthusiasts. At 1492 m above sea level, Mottarone dominates a spectacular panorama: from the summit you can see the Monte Rosa massif, the Po Valley and as many as seven lakes.
In the winter season, the Mottarone ski resort is a destination for skiers and ski mountaineers who climb from the valley to the summit cross.

Mount Mesma, reachable by car from Ameno or Bolzano Novarese, houses an ancient Franciscan monastery dating back to the 1600s and several chapels on its summit. Situated at an altitude of nearly 600 meters and surrounded by rich vegetation, Mount Mesma instantly captivates visitors who can enjoy an enchanting view of Lake Orta and the mountains that frame it, including Mount Rosa while immersed in quietness.

The Cross of Egro is located on a rocky outcrop overlooking Lake Orta and the surrounding mountains and can be reached on foot from the village of Egro via a well-marked footpath, or via the loop hiking trail from the village of Pella. Upon reaching the destination, one is overwhelmed by the beauty and evocative atmosphere of the place from which there is a truly spectacular view of Lake Orta and the surrounding peaks.

BUCCIONE TOWER - The Buccione Tower, built around the 12th century for defensive purposes, stands in an elevated position between Orta San Giulio and Gozzano. The site, part Special Nature Reserve, can be reached by a walk of about 15 minutes and offers spectacular views of the entire surrounding area, from the peaks of Monte Rosa to the Dome of San Gaudenzio in Novara.

The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rock stands on a rocky outcrop of Mount Avigno at an elevation of about 630 meters. The complex, located in the hamlet of Boleto in Madonna del Sasso, is conveniently accessible by car. For hiking enthusiasts, starting from the village of Pella it is possible to ascend to the Sanctuary on foot along a path that takes about 2 hours to walk, at the end of which the Sanctuary's balcony offers a view of Lake Orta of unparalleled beauty.

MADONNA DELLA NEVE DEL FONTEGNO - QUARNE The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows of Fontegno amazes with the suggestion of the place and the beauty of the view once you reach your destination, whether descending from Quarna or ascending from Omegna. The steep scenic trail from the Cusian capital up to the shrine is popular, and hikers often continue uphill to Quarna and beyond, enjoying the coolness of the woods leading to the alpine pastures.

THE BELVEDERE - QUARNA SOPRA It is not possible to visit Cusio without going up to Quarna to overlook its famous Belvedere. As the name implies, the view from this lake terrace is extraordinary, and no visitor will be able to resist the temptation to take magnificent photographs of the view!
